Main charactersEdit

• Jessie Prescott (Debby Ryan) is the 19-year old teen from Texas who recently graduated high school. She gets a job as a nanny for the Ross kids.
• Emma Ross (Peyton List) is the bubbly, brilliant, and cynical 14-year old girl who's eager to reshape the world. She's the only biological child in the bunch.
• Luke Ross (Cameron Boyce) is the 13-year old mischevious adopted son who's addicted to videogames. He has a crush on his nanny Jessie.
• Ravi Ross (Karan Brar) is the 11-year old adopted son who's imbued with his Indian culture, but thrilled with his new life in America. He's usually the victim of Luke's pranks.
• Zuri Ross (Skai Jackson) is the 8-year old adopted daughter in the Ross family. She is very imaginative and fanciful, as she has a hard time separating fact from fiction. She was the one who found Jessie in the street in the first episode.
• Bertram Winkle (Kevin Chamberlin) is the building's frosty butler who assists Jessie in raising the kids. He also keeps her moral value in check as she is very playful and kid-like.

• Tony (Chris Galya) is the building's 20-year old handsome doorman who's attracted to Jessie.
• Mrs. Kipling (Frank) is the house pet, a 7-foot Asian Water Monitor. Ravi found him when he was only an egg, and kept him ever since. While the series was in fruition, he was originally a capybara. It was revealed in (The Secret Life of Mr. Kipling) that Mr. Kipling is really Mrs. Kipling because she was in a nest with a dozen lizard eggs.
• Morgan Ross (Chip Esten) is the kids' spariodically seen father. He's a high-budget film director.
• Christina Ross (Christina Moore) is the kids' spariodically seen mother. She's a former supermodel turned business magnate.
• Rhoda Chesterfield (Carolyn Hennesy) is the cold-blooded head of the condo board in the building where the Ross family lives.
• Agatha (Jennifer Veal) is an evil and ugly nanny, she also has a twin sister Angela.
• Officer Petey (Joey Richter) is a police officer who is strangely obsessed with the performing arts, he wanted to be an actor instead of a police officer.
• Connie Thompson (Sierra McCormick) known as Creepy Connie is an evil girl who has an obsessive crush on Luke. She appeared in the episode "Creepy Connie Comes a Callin" when she tutors Luke but also tries to flirt with him. Then, she appeared in the episode "Creepy Connie's Curtain Call", when she auditions for the school play written by, Jessie. She causes "accidents" to the female lead and understudies, so she can get the lead role and a kiss with Luke. In the episode "Creepy Connie's Curtain Call", she starts dating Ravi.
• Rosie (Kelly Gould) is Emma's best friend who's actually a nice girl. She bullied Emma in "Make News Friends But Hide the Old" but they become friends at the end of the episode. She returns again in "Trashin' Fashion" as Emma's camera girl for their blog.
• Stuart Wooten (J.J. Totah), is a 9-year-old smart wiz boy. He has a huge crush on Zuri and is a friend to Ravi. He appears in "Trouble With Tessie" and "Quitting Cold Koala".
